CBB finalist finds out dad is in hospital ‘fighting for his life’

It was supposed to be one of the best days of their lives.

But the Celebrity Big Brother final turned sour for one of the finalists on Friday night.

Jedward’s dad John Grimes is critically ill in hospital but his health was kept was the Irish twins while they were in the house.

The 25-year-old duo came in second place, losing to Coleen Nolan.

If they had known about the sad news of their father, they would have left the house, and their mum didn’t want that for them.

It is unknown what illness their dad has but he is in intensive care.

Their mum, Susanna Condron, who is their manager too, told the Daily Star: “The last week has been very stressful for Jedward’s family.

“John Snr has been in intensive care. He insisted Edward and John must not be informed about his critical condition.”

She added: “He stated he would not jeopardise their chances of reaching the final as ‘there would have been legions of disappointed fans’.”

Jedward seemed ecstatic to come second during their interview with Emma Willis on Friday night: “We’re so happy we came second. Last time we came third, and this time we came second so it’s a personal best.

“We can’t wait for Coleen’s book, ‘I’ve Live With Jedward’.”

Ha! The cheeky pair.

They then said how great it was to come back as an All Star.

When asked about the drama between them and the other housemates, they said: “We came in later and everyone had already bonded.

“We were more outspoken this series. I think a lot of the housemates were pre-judging us. We were very innocent last time and this time we were bad-ass rock stars.”

We hope that Jedward and their family are staying strong during this worrying time.
